(1630, Londres, Inglaterra– 1720, Londres).

Partero británico. Sobrino nieto de Peter Chamberlen el Mayor (1560–1631), quien inventó el fórceps obstétrico. Partero de la reina Catalina, esposa de Carlos II de Inglaterra, Hugh Chamberlen aprovechó su posición privilegiada para promocionar el empleo del fórceps, hasta entonces un secreto de familia, y al cual se refiere en el prefacio de su traducción de un tratado francés de obstetricia, un clásico obstétrico por 75 años. Poco antes de morir, vendió su secreto a un cirujano holandés.
